Lexington County Peach Pageants

Monday, May 17, 2010 10:36 PM

The Lexington County Peach Festival has been an exciting family/community tradition for 52 years here in Gilbert, South Carolina, and we invite you to join us on July 3rd for the festivities held in the Gilbert Community Park. For more details, please click on the appropriate heading on our home page.

The Lexington County Peach Pageants are sponsored by the Gilbert Community Club and are part of The Lexington County Peach Festival. As in years past, the pageants will be held at the Gilbert Primary School Cafetorium near the park. The Junior Division will be held on June 26th and the Baby and Miss Divisions will be held on July 3rd.

The Junior and Miss Division Queens not only participate in the Peach Festival activities held on July 3rd but also represent the Peach Festival and the Gilbert Community at other events and functions as well throughout the year.

Qualified judges will judge all contestants and their decision will be final. No scores will be given out. A breakdown of the divisions is below explaining how each will be judged.

VERY IMPORTANT: In order to compete, all contestants must be a legal resident of Lexington County. Proof of residency is required before participating.

Be sure to read the by-laws very carefully before submitting your application. These rules will be enforced.

times while on stage or competing, deductions will be applied)

Photogenic is optional and does not count towards contestant’s scores. Judges are not made aware of who does or does not participate in this event. Awards will be given in each age division unless age divisions are combined due to number of entries. You do not have to participate in the beauty portion to compete in photogenic. If you do the just the photogenic, you will be notified if you win so you can be prepared to be on stage at the time of awards.
