The 54th Festival: Things to Know
The 54th Lexington County Peach Festival will be held July 4th, 2012 in Gilbert, SC. The festival takes place in the Gilbert Community Park: located on Rikard Circle behind Gilbert United Methodist Church and between Gilbert Primary and Gilbert Middle Schools.

Festival Overview:
For 50 years, the Town of Gilbert has hosted the Lexington County Peach Festival, and it is recognized as one of the most successful and prestigious events of its kind in the southeast United States. Summer after summer in the 50's, 60's, and 70's, the community was alive with the harvesting, packing, and shipping of peaches. Today, we find only a few peach farms still in operation, however the peach remains (in our minds) the "Queen of all Fruits", and worthy of honor in our small town.
The Lexington County Peach Festival is held every year on July 4th (or July 3rd if the 4th should land on a Sunday) in Gilbert, SC at the Gilbert Community Park. Festivities kick off every year at 8:30am and stretch into the night until 10:00pm when we bring the day to a close with a dazzling display of fireworks. The Peach Pageant, Peach Parade, Live Entertainment, Art Contest, Antique Car Show and many more exciting events take place in conjunction with the festival.

Peach Festival Pageants and Arts & Crafts Applications

The 54th Lexington County Peach Festival will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 4th in and around the Gilbert Community Park. An annual part of the celebration includes pageants and arts & crafts.
Applications are available online at www.lexingtoncountypeachfestival.com for pageant participation. The Peach Queen Pageant is scheduled for the evening of the Festival, July 4, at 7 p.m. The Junior Division pageant will be held on July 4th at 2 p.m. The Baby Division pageant will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30th. Participants must be residents of Lexington County. All pageants will be held in the cafetorium of Gilbert Primary School. Deadline to enter all pageants is June 20.
